KING’S Mill Hospital volunteers Malcolm Coupe, Harold Greasley and Brian Shepherd are pictured handing over a £5,000 donation to our life-changing MRI Scanner Appeal.

The cash was raised as part of the hospital’s trolley shop service, which visits wards selling treats and toiletries to patients.

It took around six months for the dedicated team of around 20 volunteers to raise the vital cashpot, which takes the campaign’s running total to more than £75,000.

Ron Tansley, chairman of voluntary services at King’s Mill Hospital, said: “This has been a really good team effort by all the volunteers. They have put a lot of time and effort in.

“It must be a nice sight for patients who cannot get out of bed to see the trolley service bringing them provisions as well as company.

“If we all pull together then I am sure we can reach our target.”

Donations to our MRI appeal can be made by visiting Chad receptions, calling the customer services department at King’s Mill Hospital on 01623 672222, by visiting Sherwood Forest Hospital’s NHS Trust website, through Just Giving or by cheque.

All cheques should be made payable to Sherwood Forest Hospitals Charitable Funds.
