FOLK across Mansfield and Ashfield are being asked to submit their nominations for the Sherwood Forest Hospitals’ ‘People’s Award’ to recognise an outstanding hospital employee who provides exceptional service above and beyond the call of duty.
The scheme was launched three years ago to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the NHS and nominations for the People’s Award can come from anyone in the communities served by King’s Mill or Newark hospitals.
Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust Chairman Tracy Doucét said: “We know from the amount of nominations we have received over the past three years that our patients are receiving the best care from the best people in the best place.
“This award really celebrates the tremendous work carried out by our staff and gives local people the chance to acknowledge that special individual who goes the extra mile in providing exceptional care.
“If you have been impressed by a service from an individual or team and feel they deserve to be recognised for their dedication in providing high quality care, nominate them for a People’s Award”.

All nominations must state the full name and department of the person being nominated and the hospital.
They must also include the name, address and telephone number of the nominator. Nominators’ details will not be retained or passed on to any third parties.
The closing date for receipt of nominations is 30th June . The winner will be announced at the Annual Staff Excellence Awards Ceremony on 27th September.
