Rufford Abbey yoga classes to help locals de-stress

PEOPLE can boost their mind, body and soul by taking part in open-air yoga classes in the calm of Nottinghamshire County Council’s Rufford Abbey Country Park this summer.

The yoga classes take place on 17th July and Sunday 21st August from 10am to 11am. They cost £5 a session and will be led by yoga teacher Dawn Taylor.

Dawn is also the County Council’s Craft Technician for Rufford Abbey Country Park’s Craft Centre.

She said: “Yoga is a great way of de-stressing and getting fit. My classes will focus on gentle yoga postures and therefore are suitable for adults of all ages and fitness levels.”

Dawn has been working for the County Council for 20 years and also runs her own yoga business. She is an approved British Wheel of Yoga Teacher and has been teaching professionally for eight years.

Nottinghamshire County Councillor John Cottee, Cabinet Member for Culture and Community, added: “Yoga is very good for the mind, body and soul and experiencing it in the historic grounds of Rufford Abbey’s Country Park is an added bonus.”
