King’s Mill Hospital receives ‘excellent’ food rating

KING’S Mill Hospital has received a rating of ‘excellent’ for the quality of food it provides following a survey by the Patient Environment Action Team (PEAT) programme.

PEAT is made up of senior hospital management staff, groups of patients, their representatives and members of the public.

Ratings range from excellent to unacceptable, with the hospital also receiving ‘good’ for achievements in patient environment and privacy and dignity.

Director of operations for corporate development at Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, Lorraine Palmer, said: “I am delighted with the latest PEAT scores which reflect the hard work, effort and commitment that the teams at King’s Mill Hospital put in to create clean and respectful environments.”
