Chief’s flu jab appeal

The new chief executive of Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, Martin Wakeley, will be getting the flu jab on Friday to encourage more of his staff to get protected against seasonal flu this winter.

The Trust’s staff vaccination programme has already had a good take-up from staff.

The Trust is also encouraging local people to speak to their GP or other health professional about getting the vaccination. Some people can get this free of charge including pregnant women, anyone with a long term condition, and everyone over the age of 65.
