Greyhound owners needed in Mansfield and Ashfield

A CHARITY which rehouses retired greyhounds is looking for support.

The Lincolnshire Greyhound Trust (LGT) rehouses retired racing greyhounds as pets in the Mansfield and Ashfield area.

They have recently had volunteers in Alfreton who are now kennelling some of their greyhounds needing homes.

On Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th January volunteers will be outside the Pets at Home store in Mansfield from 10am to 2pm promoting awareness and raising funds to help the charity.

On Saturday 16th February they are doing a street collection/awareness day in the pedestrian area of Mansfield town centre and will have greyhounds looking for homes from 10am to 3pm.

Last year LGT successfully rehoused 125 different greyhounds including a number in the Mansfield area.

Since December 1998 they have rehoused over 1,100 greyhounds.
