Give fuel payment to most vulnerable

MANSFIELD MP Alan Meale is backing a campaign calling on people across the district to donate their winter fuel payments to those in greater need.

Surviving Winter is an intitive launched by Nottinghamshire Community Foundation who collect donated winter fuel payments and redistribute to vulnerable and elderly residents through charities and local projects.

“This is an excellent campaign,” said Mr Meale, who will be donating his payment. “Many people have to make choices between eating or heating. I hope people will contribute to the foundation to assist those in most need this winter.”
