MODEL railway enthusiasts are in for a treat this weekend when a two-day exhibition takes place at St Peter’s Centre in Mansfield.

The annual event is being hosted by the St Peter’sModel Railway Group and attracts visitors and exhibitors from across the country.

This year’s event will feature upto 20 layouts - including one from the Skipton Model Railway Club - as well as a variety of stalls dotted around the centre.

There will also be photo and book sales at the event.

Said one of the organisers, the Rev David Fudger, of St Peter’s: “People come from all over the country to the event.

“It’s a good chance for people to meet, but it is also a good opportunity for people to reminise about the railways across Mansfield.”

The exhibition, which is now in its fifth year, takes place from 10am-5pm on Saturday and on Sunday between 10am-4pm.

Admission is £3.50, £1 concessions.

Proceeds will go to St Peter’s Church and local Scouts.
