A RAINWORTH hairdressers is offering coffee and cake to their customers as part of their ongoing fundraising drive for Chad’s life-changing £750,000 MRI Scanner Appeal.
Wisps N Waves, which is based on Southwell Road East, are selling tasty treats alongside stylish cuts to boost the coffers of massive campaign.
So far Chad has helped to raise more than £12,000 since teaming up with King’s Mill Hospital back in June as kind-hearted folk across Mansfield and Ashfield continue to dig deep.
Hospital bosses say the new state-of-the-art MRI scanner will allow them to offer hundreds of thousands of patients across the district safer, faster and more detailed diagnosis over the next seven years.
Dianne Melling, owner of Wisps N Waves, said: “This will be an ongoing initiative of ours. I plan to have other events such as a jewellry night and a bike ride. We do a lot of charity events and the MRI appeal is very important for this community.
“It is important to local people and our customers and we will keep this campaign going for as long as we can and raise as much as we can.”
Donations to our MRI appeal can be made by visiting Chad receptions, calling the customer services department at King’s Mill Hospital on 01623 672222, by visiting Sherwood Forest Hospital’s NHS Trust website, through Just Giving or by cheque.
All cheques should be made payable to Sherwood Forest Hospitals Charitable Funds.
