THERE will be a series of gardening workshops at Clumber Park.
People taking part in the Grow Gourmet Vegetables workshops, which start on 23rd April, can find out how to grow a host of different types of vegetables from English asparagus to more unusual varieties such as scorzonera, globe artichokes and the Mayan varieties of potato.
Chris Margrave, Clumber Park Head Gardener and one of the tutors on the workshops, said: ““The great thing about our workshops is that we use the beautiful Walled Kitchen Garden at Clumber as a living classroom. “Students can see the plants growing at first hand and watch whilst skilled gardeners demonstrate how to grow the crops. Fruit and veg growing are now popular with all ages and if you grow your own, you can choose varieties for their superb flavour.””
