Two Skegby mothers have joined forces to help create a festival - showing Frozen on a gigantic 27ft screen - for free.
Naiomi Mathis and Heather Webster have created the unique event which takes place later this year.
They said they wanted to do something to bring the community together.
Naiomi said: “We always felt we had to travel out of the area if we wanted to do fun things with our children. So we decided to create a fun day that is free for the whole community to attend.”
They held an event last year - which was a great success - but are hoping to make it even bigger this year.
“We have kindly been loaned the giant movie screen which we will show Frozen and Mamma Mia on.
“We want it to be about building community spirit as well as working with local businesses.”
At last year’s event there ere face painters, donkey ride, craft stalls, as well as games. A massive £1,000 was raised and donated to Macmillan Cancer Support. Any cash raised from the event - set for September at a location in Skegby - will also be donated.
Naiomi hopes local businesses will get involved in the event.
The duo chose the charity due to both having lost family members to cancer.
She added: “It affects so many people are Macmillan provide great support to everyone.”
