Fringe classic at college

ARTS students at Mansfield’s Vision West Notts will be performing four one-act plays from Mark Ravenhill’s epic cycle Shoot/Get Treasure/Repeat at the end of the month.

The performance deals with challenging and sensitive political themes, and is not suitable for people aged under 16.

The complete cycle of Shoot/Get Treasure/Repeat was written for the 2007 Edinburgh Fringe, winning both the Fringe First and Jack Tinker Spirit Of The Fringe awards.

Each play explores the personal and political effects of war on modern life and contemporary society, examining the conflict between projected liberalism and repressed intolerance.

It will be performed at the Create Theatre, Vision West Notts, Derby Road, on 29th and 30th May from 7pm.
