A former Sutton GP and equality champion, Dr Raj Chandran, is to seek election to UKIP’s top office.

Dr Raj Chandran, who is also a former Ashfield councillor, is seeking election to UKIP’s National Executive Committee (NEC), which is the party’s top decision-making office.

He is one of 29 candidates seeking the committee position, all party members are able to vote and the count will take place at the end of October.

Raj says he was attracted by the honesty and integrity of the Leader and Party members of UKIP and believes UKIP can make everyone ‘proud to be British again’.
