After coming out an abusive relationship one Forest Town woman, who has developed Post traumatic Stress Disorder and suffers hair loss as a result has decided to make a positive change - by shaving her hair off.

Errin Goodwin, 30, has had a rough year and now wants to draw a line under everything and cut of her hair in the name of charity.

The mum-of-two said: “I was so stressed my hair was falling out in massive clumps, and it looks silly, so I wanted a fresh start.”

All money from her head shave will got to help Alorafocus Holistic Cancer Support where her mum works.

“They do such great work and provide support to the people who really need it when they are suffering so I want to help them make a difference.”

Errin also helps out at the group along with a number of other volunteers.

“It puts everything back into focus for you when you are here.”

When she is not at Alorafocus she is a care support worker.

“I’ve always had long hair so this is going to be a massive shock, but the state it is in I’m hoping it will symbolise my new start and grow back stronger and healthier.

“I’ve jumped out of a plane before but I’m really nervous about this.”

So far Errin has raised £300 and has set her self a 30-day challenge to raise as much as she can for the charity.
