Forest Town and Clipstone pharmacies to trial new health help
An innovative health service for people with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) is being trialled by the Co-operative Pharmacies at Forest Town and Clipstone this winter, together with the Met Office and the Department of Health.
COPD describes a number of conditions, including chronic bronchitis and emphysema, which can be exacerbated, by extreme cold weather.
People can sign up for Healthy Outlook®, which costs £29 for a year, at their local pharmacy.
The Co-operative is the first community pharmacy chain to introduce the service.
The service can be purchased via www.pharmacy.co.uk.
