Visitors to the National Trust’s Clumber Park will have the chance to tantalise their taste buds with the very best of locally produced food from the region as the Clumber Food Fair returns at the weekend.
Over Saturday and Sunday The Stableyard near the main visitor facilities will be transformed into a market place, with an array of produce from a selection of local producers.
The fair showcases producers from Nottinghamshire, Lincolnshire, and Leicestershire and there will be a variety of stalls offering local and regional cheeses, meats including bison and venison, pastries, tarts, chocolates and confectionary.
Events co-ordinator Stephen Prescott said: “All of the stallholders have been selected based on their proximity to Clumber Park and the quality of the products they supply. We even have Clumber Chilli Company and Priors Wells Brewery, bringing you products produced from the heart of Clumber Park”
The National Trust is a committed champion of local food producers and several of the stallholders already supply their products to Clumber Park and other Trust properties in the area.
The Clumber Park Food Fair takes place on Saturday and Sunday, 10am-4pm, in The Stableyard. Normal admission charges to the park apply.
