Fire crews from six stations and the police were called to an incident last night, Saturday, September 12, after the roof of a barn collapsed.

The teams from Edwinstowe, Warsop, Bolsover, Staveley, Tuxford and Highfields attended the incident on Queens’s Walk, Nether Langwith at around 9.10pm.

They found the roof had caved in on the single-storey stone barn, which measured 20m x 15m.

Dog rescue teams were used, as was listening equipment, to ensure all people were accounted for.

They spent more than four hours at the scene.
