FAMILIES can enjoy a Medieval Father’s Day when a ‘Knight School for Dads’ takes place at Bolsover Castle on Sunday (17th June).

Dads can battle it out in the hobby horse joust, join in sword training and try on armour.

Lucy Hutchings, English Heritage events manager, said: “The Father’s Day Knight School is an ideal opportunity for children to join their dads for some Medieval sword training.

“There will be weapons displays, archery talks, and a combat display of how the real knights do it with clashing swords and shields.”

Admission is: Adult £8, Concession £7.20, Child (5-15) £4.80, Family £20.80. English Heritage members free. For further information call Bolsover Castle on 01246 822 844 or visit: www.english-heritage.org.uk/bolsovercastle
