Residents were treated to a glorious day of sunshine and games at a fun day held at Kirkby’s Morvern Park on Saturday.
The summer community fun day, organised by Ashwood Church, gave folk the chance to try an array of activities including a surf simulator, a coconut shy, bouncy castle and clay pot making - and organisers say that between 800 and 1,000 people attended.
Kirsty Bell, who is youth and community co-ordinator at the church, said: “It was brilliant - it was probably one of the best ones we have done.
“There was a fantastic atmosphere - that was the main thing that people picked up on.
“The families were out having fun and they were really thrilled.”
