King’s Mill Hospital volunteers Joe Maddison and Walter Hunt are pictured counting up cash which has been donated by hospital visitors towards our £750,000 MRI Scanner Appeal.

So far more than £64,000 has been raised since Chad launched the life-changing campaign on 27th June as caring folk across Mansfield and Ashfield continue to dig deep.

Cheques and cash has been flooding in to Chad’s Newgate Lane office as well as into collection points at King’s Mill Hospital in recent weeks.

A hospital spokesman said: “People have been extremely generous and so far have donated over £600. We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who has contributed.”

Our superb campaign was given a massive boost last week when the team of dedicated volunteers who run the hospital’s Daffodil Cafe stumped up a whopping £50,000 donation.

And the growing fund is set to be boosted after Chad announced it will donate 3p from every copy of the 15th August edition of the paper to the MRI appeal.

Donations to our MRI appeal can be made by visiting Chad receptions, calling the customer services department at King’s Mill Hospital on 01623 672222, by visiting Sherwood Forest Hospital’s NHS Trust website, through Just Giving or by cheque.

All cheques should be made payable to Sherwood Forest Hospitals Charitable Funds.
