Sporting and equestrian art has always been in the mainstream of English taste, and this exhibition continues the great tradition. The Sally Mitchell Gallery has a great reputation for prints, greetings cards and excellent original paintings; specialising in horses, dogs and countryside themes.
Prizes for exceptional works will be sponsored by Sally Mitchell, Hounds Magazine, Bailey’s Hunting Directory, Equestrian Life Magazine, JA Allen and the Society of All Artists.
The Society of Equestrian Artists is a charity that promotes the best in contemporary equestrian art and supports and encourages artists who share that passion. The local East Midlands branch is thriving; organising great local drawing workshop/tutorials and socials - as well as participating in exhibitions in London and Newmarket. New members welcome; beginners as well as established artists. The society’s website www.equestrianartists.co.uk illustrates the diversity and originality of contemporary equestrian art.
