PREPARATIONS for this year’s Ashfield Show - which takes place on 13th August - are now well underway, with a host of entertainers already confirmed for the big day.
The annual free event, which is now in its 33rd year, will be held at Sutton Lawn and the headline act is due to be announced in the coming weeks.
Meanwhile, a number of acts scheduled to appear at the show have already been announced - including top Take That tribute band the Greatest Take That Tribute who will be playing at the evening show.
And Glee fans are also in for a treat during an afternoon of songs from the hit TV show performed by tribute act The Glee Club.
Visitors will also be able to enjoy a range of other activities aimed at the whole family, including:
The East Midlands Trains Main Stage featuring a host of daytime and evening performers.
The Main Arena which will see a variety of acts for all the family performing throughout the day.
The popular Festival Circus.
Crafts and stalls.
Bog Hogg’s Sheepdog and Duck Display.
Jamie Squibb Freestyle Stunt Team.
Horse stunt team Chariots of Fire.
Professionally trained eagle and vulture handlers from the Eagle and Vulture Display Team.
In addition, visitors will be able to enjoy a food court, a licensed bar area, the annual horticulture tent and much more.
There will also be the live music stage and Saturday evening concert, rounded off with a firework display from 9pm.
