Thirty schools across Mansfield and Ashfield have signed up for the Four Seasons Shopping Centre’s popular Shop For Schools competition to win £3,000 to spend on resources or equipment for their school.

For one month, participating schools are encouraged to save their receipts for shopping bought in the Four Seasons, exchange them for points vouchers, and then post them in their school’s postbox within the centre.

Schools can also earn special bonus points with coupons we’ll publish in the Chad over the next few weeks!

The school with the most points per pupil at the end of the competition will win the top prize of £3,000, the runner-up - £1,000 and every school taking part with a minimum of 500 points will receive a prize just for taking part.

Last year’s winning school was Wynndale Primary School in Mansfield. The prize money was spent on a brand new electronic library system which, when launched, will enable children to search for books and log them in and out electronically.

Astrid Hurst, Business Manager at Wynndale Primary School, said: “We were delighted with last year’s win – having the money to invest in our library has been absolutely brilliant. We have entered again this year and look forward to the same level of support from our parents as they gave last year – we even had parents tell us they’d been waiting for the competition start-date to book their holidays in the Four Seasons for bumper points!”

Shop For Schools runs from 29th March to 29th April and April and pupils, friends and family can all collect points for their own school during this time. Bonus points will be issued:

Each week in the Chad

At Four Seasons’ B:Club events - free children’s workshops on 30th March, April 10th and 17th
