Golf Day raises £2,400 for special school

*The 21st annual Brunts Charity Golf Day raised an astonishing £2,400 for the local Fountaindale School which caters for children with complex physical and medical needs.

30 teams took part in the charity competition held at the Coxmoor Golf Club.

Martin Heartfield, Deputy Headteacher at Brunts Academy and organiser of the Golf Day said: “We are delighted to make Fountaindale School the beneficiary of this year’s event. The event always receives tremendous support from local businesses and the community and we are indebted to Coxmoor Golf Club for helping us stage the competition.”

Mark Dengel, Principal at Fountaindale School added: “This is a fantastic amount. We are extremely grateful to Brunts and all involved in the day. The money will go towards specialist equipment for our new school building which we move into this month.
