There was great excitement and anticipation today at The Samworth Church Academy as students received their A-level results.
The vast majority of students are moving on to higher education and will have been successful in getting into the university of their choice. Among the results there were some outstanding individual performances.
Mark Ellis achieved three A grades and he will go on to study mathematics at Bristol University. Heather Fothersgill achieved two A grades and a B grade and will study pharmacy at Bath University.
The average performance of the academy pupils was approximately three B grades per student.
Michael Griffiths, principal of The Samworth Church Academy said “This has been another exciting day and we are delighted to see the strong performance of recent years maintained.
Our A-level students have shown real commitment to their studies and have received fantastic support from their teachers and their parents. They have great futures and these results will help in giving them greater opportunities. We are delighted that many of our students are going to good Universities to study fantastic courses. We wish them all the very best”.
