Drunk man tucked into chocolate at store

A drunken Sutton man stood and ate almost £5 of chocolate infront of shocked shop assistants after he was challenged for trying to steal confectionary.

Simon Foulkes (31) of Willow Crescent, Sutton, was discovered by police leaning on a counter, tucking into a Mars Bar, after workers at Skegby Post Office called the police on 8th May.

Foulkes became aggressive when challenged by staff and tried to steal various food items before opening and eating various chocolate bars, valued at £4.50.

Defending, Deborah Bell said he had consumed a large amount of alcohol and prescription drugs prior to the incident.

A repeat offender, Foulkes was jailed for a total of two months.
