Driver cut free from car following Edwinstowe crash

A MOTORIST was cut free from a car by firefighters after hitting a telegraph pole this morning (Saturday).

The Peugeot 206 hit the pole shortly before 12.30am on the A6075 road at Edwinstowe.

Fire crews from Edwinstowe, Mansfield and a rescue engine from Tuxford attended the scene, close to the old Rufford School site.

The roof of the vehicle had to be removed to free the 26-year-old male driver, who was taken to hospital suffering from chest, back and abdominal pains.
