CHAD’S Business Awards will reward the area’s economic success stories in a difficult climate, according to Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire Chamber of Commerce.

The chamber’s chief executive, George Cowcher, says the group is delighted to be sponsoring our top award - Business of the Year.

“As the leading business organisation in the East Midlands, DNCC is always keen to showcase local business innovation, resilience and success and these awards are just one way of highlighting the strength, talent and overall excellence of the companies located in Mansfield, Ashfield and North Nottinghamshire,” Mr Cowcher said.

“Against a backdrop of crisis across the Eurozone markets and dampened demand here in the UK, businesses are being relied on more and more to drive the recovery and get the country out of double-dip recession as quickly as possible.

“Many local businesses are ready, willing and able to carry out that task and these awards are all about celebrating those companies that achieve success, even in such a challenging economic climate.”

The fourth edition of our awards will find and reward the very best local companies and entrepreneurs.

There are some top prizes up for grabs, ranging from Business Idea of the Year and Young Business Person of the Year to Community Contribution of the Year and Most Innovative Property/Building Development.

This year’s awards ceremony will be held on Thursday 22nd November with a glittering event at the John Fretwell Sporting Complex at Sookholme, where the best of the area’s business community will be showcased.

The black tie event will see guests enjoy a champagne reception, four-course meal and ceremony.

Tickets for the awards evening are on sale now, tables of 10 can be purchased for £500 plus vat and individual tickets are £50 plus vat per person.
