A JAIL sentence hangs over a father-of-two who attacked his partner and her mother during a bust-up in Tibshelf.
After being excluded from a shopping trip, Lee Richards (40) threw an ashtray ‘like a frisbee’ and it struck his partner’s left cheek, prosecutor Andrew Legge told Chesterfield magistrates last Wednesday.
“Her mother asked what he was doing and he grabbed her and pulled her over a sofa, causing her face to hit the sofa,” he said.
Richards, of Victoria Drive, Blackwell, initially denied the 13th December assaults but later changed his pleas to guilty.
He was handed a 12-week jail term, suspended for two years, and a two-year probation supervision order.
Denney Lau, for Richards, said it was an isolated incident of violence.
