A drink driver has been warned by magistrates he could face a period in custody when he is sentenced later this month for driving while disqualified.
Mansfield Magistrates’ Court was told on Wednesday how Sebastian Tulkiewicz , of Pendine Close, South Normanton, was stopped by police for not wearing a seat belt then sent on his way. Daneil Pietryka, prosecuting, said: “After checks were done it was established that he was disqualified.”
Tulkiewicz’s defending solicitor said: “The difference between the system here and in Poland may have made it hard for him to appreciate the seriousness.”
The Polish national was bailed until 15th May pending a report but told he could face a community order.
