A Mansfield Woodhouse man beat up his partner and smashed a phone when she tried to call the police, a court has heard.
Mark Bramwell (30) of Radbourne Street, Mansfield Woodhouse, admitted assaulting Stacey Marsdin at the home they shared on 27th September.
Bramwell also admitted criminal damage to a mobile phone when he appeared before Mansfield Magistrates’ Court on 8th October.
He had been drinking heavily and had taken cocaine prior to the incident, and smashed a number of drinking glasses in the altercation, which caused his partner to cut her foot, the court was told. Bramwell then prevented her from calling police. He will be sentenced on 12th November.
