Police are urging residents to remain vigilant following a spate of burglaries in Forest Town.

Four homes were targeted in the space of two days.

The first incident reported was on Colby Close on 9th January when the offender tried to force rear PVC French doors but was unable to gain access.

A house on Summerdowns, off Holly Close, was then broken into, when a rear window was smashed. A Nokia 520 Lumia mobile phone, a Sujitsu laptop computer, and a passport and driving licence were stolen.

At around 10am on 10th January, an offender forced entry through a rear window of a Sandycliffe Close home, and stole £70 in change and an unknown amount of jewellery.

Later that day, a thief entered a property through a backdoor dog flap and stole a purse and wallet.

Anyone with information should contact police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
