VIDEO: Fire at Ashfield house being investigated

Investigators are currently looking into a house fire in Ashfield which took place last night (October 11).

Firefighters from the Ashfield and Mansfield stations were called out to Spruce Grove in Kirkby around 10.30pm after the fire was reported.

Police and fire investigators are at the scene trying to establish is the circumstances were suspicious.

Breathing apparatus, a ventilation fan and thermal imaging camera were used alongside a hose reel jet to put out the fire.

A police spokesman confirmed that nobody was inside the house during the fire and there were no injuries as a result of it.

The fire was put out by 11.15pm.
