A lorry driver may have his licence suspended after police caught him driving while using a mobile phone on the main road between Chesterfield and Mansfield.

Derbyshire Constabulary's roads policing unit stopped the lorry driver on the A617 yesterday and said it was '"unacceptable" the driver was on his phone while operating a 44-ton LGV.

The driver was handed a ticket and ordered to report to the Traffic Commissioner for suspension.
