A Sutton teenager was banned from driving for 14 months after she drove her car over the drink driving limit.

Amy Sarah Hunt, 19 of Crowtrees Drive, was found driving her Peugeot car on Leeming Street, Mansfield in the early hours of 28th June.

Mansfield Magistrates were told on Wednesday that police were given an anonymous report of a car being driven from Wilkinson’s car park at 5.05am.

Officers saw the car stationary at traffic lights and then reversing onto Leeming Street.

It was stopped and officers noticed a strong smell of alcohol and cigarettes.

A breath test proved positive and a later blood test showed 131 mg in 100ml of blood - the legal limit is 80mg.

She told Police she had intended to get a taxi home but had made a stupid decision to drive after having too much to drink.
