Sutton shopkeeper shaken after being threatened with knife

A Sutton shopkeeper has been left shaken after a robber threatened him with a knife.

The suspect, who had his face covered, entered Willowbridge Stores, in Willowbridge Lane, at about 5.30pm on Tuesday 28th February.

He was brandishing a knife and demanded his 55-year-old victim open the till and hand over the takings.

The attacker then took a digital camera from the counter and fled down an alleyway adjacent to the shop.

He was a white man of average build and about 5ft 6ins tall. He was wearing trainers, jeans, a dark jacket and gloves and his face was covered by a woollen balaclava or scarf.

Anyone in the market for a new camera who has been approached to buy a black Samsung ES70 digital camera is asked to contact police.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact Nottinghamshire Police on 101, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
