A Sutton who breached his bail conditions four times in fours days has been locked up until his trial.
John Shaw (34) of Frederick Street, admitted failing to ‘sign in’ at the police station for four consecutive days, starting the day after he was given bail by magistrates on a charge of theft from a vehicle, which he denies.
As part of his bail conditions, he was to attend Sutton station every day, but after missing his first appointment, he made the decision not to attend any more.
The court was told that he had missed his first appointment because he had been at a meeting about his benefits. He will now appear at Mansfield Magistrates’ Court on 23rd October for a trial in connection with the vehicle theft charge.
