Police are urging businesses to be vigilant after man confused a cashier and made off with extra change.
A man entered Somercotes Office Furniture on Nottingham Road on Tuesday and bought a roll of ‘fragile’ tape for £2.99.
A spokeswoman said he started chatting to the cashier and confused her which resulted in him receiving an extra £5.
The man was described as white, of medium build, in his 20s and had a moustache. He was wearing a red baseball cap, white sweater with thin blue horizontal stripes and navy blue trousers.
