A reward of up to £1,000 is being offered for information leading to the conviction of an offender who is believed to have carried out two robberies in Mansfield during the past seven days.

Detectives investigating the robberies have released CCTV images of the suspect for each of the incidents.

The first offence took place at the One-Stop Shop in Woodhouse Road at around 10.40pm on Wednesday, 8th July.

The offender, who was dressed in dark clothing with his face covered, arrived at the store on a black mountain bike, produced a knife and threatened the shop keeper, demanding money.

After taking a quantity of cash from the till, the offender fled the scene.

The shop keeper was uninjured, but was left shaken by the incident.

At around 10.30pm on the evening of 12th July, cash was also stolen from the Sainsbury’s store in Westfield Lane when an offender who was again dressed in dark clothing and had his face covered produced a screwdriver and threatened a staff member.

The offender is described as being around 6ft tall, of medium build and speaking with a local accent.

To claim the reward of up to £1,000 the information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the offender must be given to Crimestoppers by telephoning 0800 555 111.
