Michael Smedley (39) of Beacon Drive Kirkby, criminal damage to window valued at £50. Discharged conditionally for 12 months, compensation £5, victim surcharge £15.

Drugs

Desmond Patrick Lohan (48) of Woodhouse Road Mansfield, produced a quantity of cannabis and dishonestly used electricity. Committed to prison for 10 weeks suspended for six months. Costs of £85 and victim surcharge £80.

Daniel John Calladine (24) of Hardwick Lane Sutton, assaulted female by strangling and beating, while on suspended sentence, with child present. Committed to prison for 26 weeks, victim surcharge of £80.

Aaron Ricky Tomkinson (24) of Longford Road Mansfield, assaulted two men while in drink in the town centre. Committed to prison for 21 weeks. Victim surcharge of £80.

Colin Jack Tyler (46) of Shireoaks Court Mansfield, Found guilty of assaulting a man. Discharged conditionally for 12 months, ordered to pay compensation of £30.

Martin Bramley (51) of Park Avenue Mansfield, assaulted a man during period of suspended sentence. Committed to prison for 12 weeks consecutive to activation of suspended sentence. Overall sentence of 16 weeks. Compensation of £80.

Matthew Wadsley (27) of Berry Avenue Kirkby, assaulted a male. He was fined £300 and ordered to pay compensation of £50 with costs of £85 and £30 victim surcharge.

Philip Daniel Johnson (51) of Kitchener Drive Mansfield, found guilty of assaulting a female victim. Committed to prison for 12 weeks. Offence serious because domestic violence using a fire extinguisher as a weapon, prolonged and extremely dangerous conduct causing serious injury. Previous convictions and failure to comply with court orders.

Theft

Scott John Walker (41) of Simpson Road Mansfield, stole £115 children’s clothing from Peacocks. Ordered to attend drug rehabilitation requirement for 12 months. Victim surcharge of £60.

Harrasment

Martin Peter Osbourn (36) of James Murray Mews Mansfield, harassed a woman. Committed to prison for 20 weeks. Offence so serious because of extensive record of like offending, domestic nature, child present at one incident and significant psychological impact on victim. Restraining order made.

Neil Taylor (51) of Haddon Road Mansfield, VAT fraud. A 12 month community order was made for 110 hours unpaid work, costs of £100 and victim surcharge £60.

Eric Whitehouse (21) of Kirklington Road Rainworth, caused £150 damage to mirrors on four different cars. Community order made and ordered to pay £500 total compensation.

Matthew Luke Phillips (19) of Forest Road Mansfield, assaulted a woman and a man and caused £200 criminal damage to plasterboards. Community order made for mental health treatment, compensation of £100.

Alison Sparrow (46) of Lilac Grove Forest Town, failed to notify change of circumstance while claiming benefits. Committed to prison for 8 weeks suspended for 12 months. Offence over a number of years and a large amount of money. Ordered to carry out 80 hours unpaid work, victim surcharge of £80.

Lee Vernon Wightman (39) no fixed abode, entered Beales retail premises on Stockwell Gate, Mansfield while prohibited by anti-social behaviour order. Committed to prison for 16 weeks due to repeated breaches of court order, victim surcharge of £60.

Daniel John Calladine (24) of Hardwick Lane Sutton, commission of further offence during period of suspended sentence for common assault and damage. Suspended sentence of imprisonment of 16 weeks suspended for 24 months implemented as a sentence of 12 weeks consecutive to other charge.

Richard Lee Norris (45) of Third Avenue Forest Town, failed to comply with community requirement of suspended sentence order. Suspended sentence for receiving stolen goods varied. New and varied requirements include 50 hours unpaid work. Costs of £70.
