Theft

Emma Louise Crowder (32) of Austin Close, Mansfield , pleaded guilty to stealing a Samsung mobile phone valued at £600. She was discharged conditionally for 12 months, with a victim surcharge of £15.

Steven John Roberts (39) of Penn Street, Sutton was found guilty of disposing a mountain cycle knowing it was stolen. Roberts also pleaded guilty to failing to surrender to custody at Mansfield Magistrates’ Court and failing to comply with the requirements of a community order. He was committed to prison for a total of 18 weeks, with a victim surcharge of £80.

Michael Moriarty (25) of Bilborough Road, Mansfield pleaded guilty to assaulting a man by beating. He was committed to prison for 18 weeks, suspended for 12 months. It was an assault on a public servant at night sustained in drink while driving and on a current community order. He was given a supervision order of 12 months with 100 hours unpaid work, ordered to pay compensation of £200, victim surcharge of £80 and costs of £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service and a criminal courts charge of £150.

Andrew Appleby (50) of Rowan Drive, Kirkby admitted assaulting a man on three separate occasions. He was discharged conditionally for 24 months and ordered to pay £100 compensation.

Stephen David Hall (39) of Bilborough Road Mansfield, admitted assaulting a woman. He was committed to prison for 6 weeks suspended for 12 months. Reason offence so serious It was domestic violence, a sustained assault, with hand over mouth to prevent assistance and distress caused. He was ordered to carry out 80 hours unpaid work, to pay compensation of £150 and costs of £150 to the Crown Prosecution Service.

Tobias Clive Parnham (25) of Dale Lane, Blidworth was found guilty of assaulting two men by beating. He was committed to prison for 2 months suspended for 12 months. The attack included kicking on the floor and injury sustained by one of the victims. Overall sentence 4 months. He was ordered to pay a total of £450 compensation.

Scott Eadson (35) of Vale Road Mansfield Woodhouse, admitted assaulting a woman by beating her. He was given a 20 days community order and a restraining order. Eadson was also fined £50 and ordered to pay £100 compensation and a criminal courts charge of £150.

Mark Anthony Ellis (32) of Station Street, Kirkby admitted assaulting a woman by beating and damaging a mobile phone belonging to her. A community order was made for 30 days and Ellis was ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £60.

Jack Askew (20) of no fixed address, pleaded guilty to assaulting a man and a woman and harassing a man at Huthwaite. He also admitted damaging a Citroen DS3 car. Committed to detention in a young offender institution for 8 weeks. Offence so serious because domestic violence, series of offending against parents whilst on community order, use of weapon whilst under influence of drugs and not engaging with current order. He was ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £80 and a criminal court charge of £150.

Steven Peter Crawford (29) of Poplar Street, Mansfield admitted assaulting a woman by beating her, assaulting a police officer in the execution of his duty, being in possession of a lock knife and causing criminal damage to a door. He was committed to Nottingham Crown Court for sentencing.

Kris John Parsons (32) of Newmarket Road, Bullwell, admitted failing to give information relating to the driver of a vehicle who was alleged to have been guilty of an offence. Fined £300, victim surcharge £15, driving record endorsed with 6 points.

Drugs

Christopher Michael Beniston (27) of Forest road Skegby, admitted to possessing two small bags of Mephedrone, a controlled drug of class B. He also admitted damaging two internal doors and a glass candle. He was committed to prison for 8 weeks suspended for 12 months. Offence so serious it was damage in a domestic setting and children woken upstairs, aggravated by previous offending. He was given a 12 month supervision order with a three month curfew, ordered to pay £175 compensation, with costs of £25 to the Crown Prosecution Service.

Miscellaneous

Kerri Commins (25) of Farm View Road Kirkby, pleaded guilty to harassing a woman by sending numerous texts and calls and visiting her address. A 30 days community order was made and a restraining order. Commins was ordered to pay £50 compensation with costs of £50 to the Crown Prosecution Service and a criminal court charge of £150.

Shirley Storer (33) of Harcourt Street, Mansfield failed to comply with a community order by failing to attend as instructed and curfew violations. Committed to prison for a total of 16 weeks.

Steven Westwood (44) of St Marys Way Hucknall, admitted breaching a community order made by Mansfield Magistrates’ Court. The order was extended by two weeks to mark the breach and varied with a 12 week curfew order.
