The recent cases at Mansfield Magistrates’ Court

Violence

Keiron Hollingsworth (19) of Haddon Road, Mansfield, was found guilty following a trial of assaulting a female, and admitted assaulting the same female in a second incident. He was sent to a young offenders’ institution for 22 weeks;

Andrew James Ostolski (35) of Station Road, Sutton, admitted assaulting another male and damaging a door, and was handed a community order with 80 hours unpaid work, told to pay £200 compensation, £85 costs and a £60 surcharge;

Connor Patrick Joseph Hayes (25) of Herne Street, Sutton, admitted using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour towards a female, and was handed a community order with 100 hours unpaid work, told to pay £150 criminal courts charge and a £60 surcharge;

Zoe Sarah Kabia (39) of Crosby Close, Forest Town, admitted assaulting a male and using threatening or abusive words or behaviour or disorderly behaviour. She was given a community order and made to pay £100 compensation;

Theft

Ryszard Pawel Kocwa (41) of George Street, Mansfield, admitted stealing two frying pans worth £30 from B&M and possession of cannabis. He was sent to prison for seven days, made to pay £180 criminal court charges and an £80 surcharge;

Luke Tomlinson (31) of Alfreton Road, Sutton, admitted stealing a radio worth £298 from Mansfield BID and was fined £60. He also admitted stealing jars of coffee worth £16 from Tesco and made to pay compensation to that value, and a £20 surcharge;

Stephen John Feeley (39) of no fixed address, admitted stealing a sat nav and sunglasses from a man in Sutton, and was fined £75, made to pay £85 costs and a £20 surcharge;

Matthew Cook (26) of no fixed address, admitted stealing drinks and chocolate worth £4.80 from Boots in Mansfield, and was jailed for four weeks because of his lengthy record, made to pay £150 criminal courts charge and an £80 victim surcharge;

Hayden Rivers (36) of Nesbitt Street, Sutton, admitted two counts of stealing bluetooth speakers from B&M, and a £100 jacket from Beales in Mansfield. He was jailed for 28 days, made to pay £150 criminal courts charge and £12.99 compensation;

Motoring

Charlotte Rose Hallam (22) of West Lane, Edwinstowe, admitted running a red light in a Renault Clio and was fined £80, made to pay £85 costs and a £20 surcharge and handed three penalty points;

Darren Paul Coalwood (29) of Winster Way, Mansfield, admitted driving an MG at 55mph in a 30mph zone. He was fined £230, made to pay £85 costs, a £23 surcharge and given five penalty points;

Saima Luvi (33) of Sutton Road, Mansfield, was found guilty of running a red light in a Vauxhall. She was fined £200, made to pay £85 costs, a £20 surcharge and given three penalty points. The case was proved in her absence;

Shane Thomas Stevenson (21) of Ridgeway, Langwith Junction, admitted running a red light in a Ford and was fined £95, made to pay £85 costs and a £20 surcharge, and given three penalty points

Scott Walker (43) of Winster Way, Mansfield, admitted driving with an expired licence and without insurance. He was fined £600, made to pay £85 costs and a £60 surcharge and given six penalty points;

Claire Woods (38) of Southridge Drive, Mansfield, admitted breaking the 60mph variable speed limit on the M1 in a Peugeot and was fined £160, made to pay £85 costs, a £20 surcharge and given three penalty points;

Alan Ernest Walpole (63) of Langwith Road, Bolsover, was found guilty of running a red light in a Mercedes and was fined £200, made to pay £85 costs and a £20 surcharge, and handed three penalty points. The case was proved in his absence;

Drink driving

Michael Amos (56) of Alfreton Road, Sutton, admitted having 90mcgs of alcohol in 100mls of breath while behind the wheel of a BMW. The legal limit is 35mcgs. He was banned from driving for 23 months, made to pay £180 criminal court charges, £85 costs and a £60 surcharge;

Darryl James Bolton (32) of Oakham Drive, Selston, was found guilty after a trial of having 150mcgs of alcohol of breath in 100mls of breath while behind the wheel of a Ford Transit van. He was jailed for 16 weeks, suspended for a year, handed 150 hours unpaid work, made to pay £600 costs, an £80 surcharge and banned from driving for three years;

Drugs

Joshua Ian Wood (23) of no fixed address, admitted possessing diamorphine and amphetamine and was fined £75, made to pay £180 criminal courts charge and a £20 surcharge;
