Motoring

Jason Thomas Morland (26) of Mappleton Drive, Mansfield, admitted driving whilst disqualified and driving without insurance. He was handed a 12-week jail sentence suspended for 12 months, made to pay £85 costs and an £80 surcharge and banned from driving for a six months;

Lee Goody (27) of Wainwright Avenue, Mansfield, admitted taking a Nissan car without the owner’s consent, driving while disqualified, without insurance, driving while unfit through drugs and possession of amphetamine. He was jailed for 20 weeks, made to pay and £80 surcharge and banned from driving for 12 months;

Cameron David Gillies (24) of Abbey Road, Kirkby, admitted two counts of driving while disqualified, three counts of driving without insurance, assaulting a female and driving while using a mobile phone. He was jailed for 22 weeks;

Drink driving

Louise Scanlon (41) of Harby Avenue, Sutton, admitted having 124mcgs of alcohol in 100mls of breath while driving a Range Rover. The legal limit is 35mcgs. She was given a community order, banned from driving for 30 months, fined £45, made to pay £40 costs and a £60 surcharge;

Steven Rolfe (31) Church View, Ollerton, admitted having 72mcgs of alcohol in 100mls of breath while driving a Fiat Punto. The legal limit is 35mcgs. He was fined £450, banned from driving for 18 months, and made to pay £85 costs and a £45 surcharge;

Drugs

Rhett Lee Cheetham (24) of Oakland Croft, Huthwaite admitted possessing cocaine and was fined £90 and was made to pay £85 costs and a £20 surcharge;

Richard Christopher Marsdin (34) of Shirland Drive, Mansfield, admitted possessing amphetamine and cannabis and was fined £70 and made to pay £30 costs and a £20 surcharge;

Fly-tipping

Jenny Bishop (40) of Springfield Way, Kirkby, was found guilty of dumping waste on a neighbouring property and was fined £400, made to pay costs and £502 and a £40 surcharge. The case was proved in her absence;

Cathy Owen (24) of Victoria Street, Mansfield, was found guilty of dumping waste at an empty property on Co-Operative Street and was fined £400 and made to pay costs of £519 and a £40 surcharge. The case was proved in her absence;

James Young (38) of Harrop White Road, Mansfield, admitted leaving waste on his street and was given a six-month conditional discharge, fined £47, made to pay £348 costs and a £15 surcharge;

theft

Michael Patrick Linford (28) of no fixed address admitted stealing wine worth £5 from Iceland and was given 21 days’ jail and made to pay an £80 surcharge;

Steven John Roberts (38) of Penn Street, Sutton, admitted stealing a handbag in Mansfield town centre and possessing heroin, and was given a community with drug rehabilitation and made to pay £70 compensation;

James Anthony Timothy Carroll (35) of no fixed address was found guilty of stealing £5 worth of food from Sainsbury’s and failing to surrender to custody. He was given a six-month conditional discharge and made to pay £5 compensation. The case was proved in his absence;

Violence

Samuel Oliver Jones-Hunter (19) of Kings Meadow, Rainworth, admitted assaulting another male and failing to surrender to custody and was given 80 hours community service, told to pay £50 compensation, £40 costs and a £60 surcharge;

Carl Evans (50) of Stone Cross Court, Mansfield, admitted assaulting another male and a female and was given an eight-week jail sentence suspended for 18 months and told to pay £100 compensation to each victim;

Stephen Kirkup (34) of Glebe View, Forest Town, admitted assaulting another male and was given an eight-week jail sentence suspended for 12 months, made to pay £50 compensation and £85 costs;

Fraud

Curtis Hood (31) of Beechwood Close, Sutton, was found guilty after a trial of five counts of advertising a caravan for hire which was not his. He was given 26 weeks’ jail suspended for 12 months, made to pay £200 compensation, £100 costs and an £80 surcharge;

Steven Eric Belshaw (49) of Wainwright Avenue, Mansfield, admitted dishonestly claiming housing and council tax benefit and employment support allowance and was jailed for 15 weeks, suspended for 12 months, and made to pay £85 and £80 surcharge;

Miscellaneous

Tomas Juozunaitis (29) of George Street, Mansfield, admitted being drunk and disorderly in Mansfield town centre and failing to surrender to custody. He was fined £65, told to pay £85 costs and a £20 surcharge;
