Red-faced woman caught stealing photos from Sutton ASDA

Crime story

Crime story

A woman who printed out 600 photos at a self-service supermarket machine and walked out without paying was
given a year’s conditional discharge.

Danielle Stephanie Christine Clarke (23) of The Common, South Normanton, was caught trying to leave the ASDA store in Sutton.

Admitting a charge of theft and representing herself, Clarke said she had hit the wrong button and printed out 600.

She said she was left embarrassed and did not have the £93 she then owed, so tried to leave the shop, taking the snaps with her.

The magistrates told her she needed to pay a £15 surcharge, after it was heard that Clarke was already in the process of paying ASDA what she owed.
