Police wanting to trace Transit in connection with Mansfield Woodhouse cyclist’s death

Police are looking to trace the driver and passengers of a light-coloured Ford Transit who may have information about the fatal crash in Mansfield from Thursday evening.

The Transit was travelling on Leeming Lane South (A60) at about 9.50pm towards Warsop when a green Izuzu 4x4 collided with a cyclist close to the Mines Rescue Service building.

The cyclist, 41-year old cyclist Nicholas Highfield, died of his injuries.

Officers are keen to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the green Izuzu 4x4 vehicle before the collision and a number of cyclists seen in the area shortly before the collision.
