Police are carrying out a ‘detailed forensic examination’ of a Sutton property as part of an investigation into a possible drug supply chain across the East Midlands.
The property, on King Street in the town centre, has been at the centre of police activity since Sunday and a number of police vehicles are still parked outside the property.
Five people have been arrested and bailed as part of the operation.
A Nottinghamshire Police spokesman said: “Nottinghamshire Police officers, working with colleagues from the East Midlands Special Operations Unit, have been conducting an intelligence-led operation at a property in King Street, Sutton, since Sunday 28th July.
“A total of five men have been arrested at various locations in the East Midlands on suspicion of conspiracy to supply Class B drugs (amphetamine). They have been bailed pending further enquiries.
“A detailed forensic examination of the property is on-going at this time.”
