Police search for distinctive car after Ollerton crash

AN unusually painted car is being sought by police as they investigate how another vehicle sustained significant damage in Ollerton.

Officers want to trace the owner of what is believed to be a Fiat Punto, which collided with an unoccupied, parked Ford Fiesta on Whinney Lane at around 10.45pm on Thursday 18th August.

The Fiat was painted white, but had a black roof and black stripes on the bonnet.

It is believed the driver of the Fiat stopped to inspect the damage to the Fiesta before driving away.

Anyone who recognises the Punto, which would also have sustained damage in the collision, or knows where it may have been repaired is urged to contact Pc Andrew Moulds at Ollerton Police Station on 0300 300 99 99, ext 808 7063.
