Police plea over thefts from Mansfield gardens

Police are warning residents to ensure their garden furniture is secure following a string of thefts in Ravensdale.

In one of the most recent incidents 14 solar lights were stolen from Chadburn Road on Tuesday 16th August.

Two hanging baskets and a garden bench were snatched from Goodacre Street earlier this month.

Garden items have also been taken from Wallis Road with the majority of thefts being carried out overnight.

Officers have been conducting house-to-house enquiries in response to the recent incidents.

Residents are being urged to ensure that garden furniture and items left outside their properties are secure, gates are closed and locked and security lights are installed wherever possible.

Anyone with information about the thefts is asked to call the beat team on 0300 33 33 33 ext 8053442 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
