Police get more time to quiz murder suspects in Bestwood Park
Police have been given more time to question a man and a woman arrested following the death of a seven-year-old girl in Bestwood Park.
Officers were called to Beckhampton Road at about 5.10am on Thursday 31st July, after concerns for the child.
A 23-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of murder and a 47-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assault. He has subsequently been arrested on suspicion of murder.
Both remain in custody pending further investigation.

Hide AdA Home Office post-mortem examination is scheduled to take place this morning (Friday 1st August).
Formal identification will take place at a later date.
Detectives have asked the public and media not to speculate about the murder as it may be harmful to the inquiry.
