Nottinghamshire Police appeal for information on bike stolen in Kirkby burglary

A distinctive mountain bike taken in a burglary in Kirkby is the subject of an appeal for information from Nottinghamshire Police.

The Klein bicycle, believed to be one of only a few in the UK, was stolen from a domestic garage in Chartwell Road some time between 9pm on Saturday 3rd March and 9.40am the following day.

At the time of the burglary, the red, orange and yellow bike was in pieces awaiting assembly, all the parts being tied together with tape and cardboard.

The bike has the Klein name clearly marked on the frame, along with a metal tag with the words ‘Bike Works, Sylvania, Ohio USA’ inscribed on it.

Anyone with who believes they have information about the burglary or may have seen the bike or any of its component parts is asked to call DC Kathryn Baker at Sutton CID on 101, ext 806 3733.

The incident number is 334 of 4th March.
